George Poveromo, producer and host of "George Poveromo's World of Saltwater Fishing" on Discovery, has been a leading figure in saltwater fishing for decades. His show, on air for 25 years, teaches viewers to catch a variety of game fish, from exotic species like blue marlin to regional favorites such as mahi and tuna.

 

George’s deep knowledge comes from a lifelong passion for fishing, reflected in his feature articles for Salt Water Sportsman and his role in the Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series, which has educated hundreds of thousands of anglers. When not working, George can be found fishing off South Florida and the Florida Keys.
